Dr. Nguyen, a native of San Diego, received her Bachelor of Science degree in General Biology from the University of California at San Diego in 2007.

In 2011, she received her Doctorate of Optometry degree from Salus University, Pennsylvania College of Optometry.

After graduation, Dr. Nguyen continued her training by completing a residency in Primary Care/Geriatric Optometry at the West Los Angeles Veterans Affairs Hospital. She is certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry and has passed the rigorous Advanced Competency in Medical Optometry (ACMO) certification examination.

Dr. Nguyen joined The Castillejos Eye Institute in 2013 and has since been practicing full time.
